Ever since my childhood, I remember listening to this classic book by Ezra Jack Keats. In the story, a boy named Peter goes outside to play in the snow. He makes funny footprints, snow angels, and a snowman. My favorite part was when he made a snowball to keep for the next day. But just as he gets set for bed, he finds that it had melted.As an adult reader in my 40s - I still like reading kids books by the way - I know that book by heart. And if memory serves me right, that book was also read on kids shows like Sesame Street. It was also a review book on Reading Rainbow.If you enjoy this Ezra Jack Keats book, I also recommend "Whistle for Willy," "Peter's Chair," "A Letter to Amy," and "Goggles." The animation and storytelling for "The Snowy Day" and the other books by Keats I mentioned is excellent. Highly recommended for everyone.
