Great documentary

Well done narrative, gorgeous cinematography.Beautiful look at the fascinating history and syncretism of Alaskan natives Orthodox Christianity and their spirituality. Really felt that it captured it beautifully. The documentary covers the history of Alaskan Yu'pik, Alutiq and Tlingit native Alaskans interaction with Russians and the adoption of Orthodox Christianity. It explores the unique circumstances and cultural/theological overlap/parallels that led to their adoption of it and keeping of faith even in the face of a hostile new American government and missionaries. It follows some locals and how they live and see their life theologically. It then covers an example of the first Alaskan female Saint Olga from her indigenous village of Kwethluk.Maybe would have shortened to 60 minute run time. But overall this is great and leaves you wanting to explore more. Would strongly recommend.
