Plot summary

Heartwarming, amusing and entertaining.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Granted I am a sucker for such movies.I thought it was clever, well acted and well written for what it was.Yeah, it isn't Citizen Kane, but who cares.Predictable certainly, but that was expected.Most of us who watched it laughed and enjoyed it. My brother is a scrooge and didn't:)

Made my day.

In a world and too much cinema obsessed with violence this is a feel good film with dogs, a beautiful hunk, stunning scenery and an easy ride. A German film refreshingly not splattered in blood like most American films. To see something without guns is a reward.Soft redemption, understanding and a range of characters and totally relaxing.

A strange thing

I haven't left reviews in a while & am only going to leave this one as this is a quirky little film.Even before watching, I told my man, "I don't really remember what German humour was like", having lived there for some years. Contrary to opinion, they do have a sense of humour, but I couldn't remember it.So that was the motivation.It was a gentle humour, inspired by quirky characters. The plot was ok, reasonable with no holes. Nothing notable.The reason I'm writing the review is that the scenery was authentic & absolutely breathtaking. It is worth watching the movie just for that. Seriously. It also showed German biergarten, or public parks, which are another species of public park altogether. Not much, but a little.If you are someone who loves outdoor authentic sets, well filmed, you will enjoy this.
